It was windy and rainy, but somehow I could get to the restaurant in the residential area.

I ordered a 1-go (180ml) of Japanese Sake. The lady poured sake a lot to the Tokkuri bottle. It seemed to be more than 180ml. As you see in the photo, the color of label changed from yellow to light green. Soon you will see this “paper towel for promotion” in Korean, Chinese, Thai, and India restaurants around Furumachi (hope so).

Actually I try to eat less oil because my health check in May 2018 said that my cholesterol level is too high. So I changed my eating habit. I haven’t taken much oil these days. It sometimes makes me crazy for oily food, so tonight, I broke my rule not to eat oily food. I ordered a Yuurinchii (油淋鶏yóulínjī) set.

Ah, it was a big fried chicken. My dinner costed 1,026 JPY. Youlinji set menu was 550yen, one tokkuri of sake was 400yen, and 8% of sales tax. Anyway I strongly recommend you going to “Yasuya” and eating a lot of Chinese food.

When I gave the lady “Promotion paper towel”, I asked her “Zhong guo ren lai ma?” I meant “Do Chinese come (to this restaurant)?” hoping that she gave it to Chinese customers. She didn’t get what I said a while. When I opened the door to leave, she has got it and said “Zhong guo ren lai ma?”.  I was so happy that my simple Chinese was understood by her.

Last night I went to Manpukuen in Honcho for my dinner. The restaurant is in front of Takeyama Hospital. It is near the back door of Itoyokado supermarket. Please google the latitude and longitude below for exact location.

It was a just before 9 p.m., already a little late for dinner. So there was only one customer other than me.

A glass of Chinese sake makes me feel better. Ten packs of paper towel with yellow label are advertisement of my Japanese Lesson. I am not sure but I think I made 160 of this. This in the photo is actually the last 16th. I gave it to the lady in the restaurant. Last time I gave the same 10 packs. She said she gave it to “Liuxuesheng” which means international student(s).

I ordered Hoikourou (回鍋肉, 回锅肉, huíguōròu) set menu. Can you believe this costs only 650 yen? Since the glass of Chinese sake “Shoukoushu” is 380 yen, my dinner was just 1,030 yen. I think this is the cheapest combination of set menu and one glass of alcohol. In other restaurant, it costs more.

It is said that Chinese Food in Japan is different so much from the original Chinese food. This Hoikourou dish was cooked by Chinese in Niigata. But I don’t know whether the taste is different from real Chinese food or not. Actually it was salty, but it’s okay. Prices are very reasonable and the lady is very polite. Go there and eat a lot of Chinese food!

2019年５軒目は・・・ちょっと私としては外食しすぎな感じになってきましたが、竹山病院前の萬福園です。ホイコーロー定食を食べました。たった1030円しか払わないくせに、黄色いティッシュで協力要請するずうずうしい私でごさいます。すみません。ちょっと遅い時間に行ったので、前回と違ってひっそりとしていました。

And just before, I went to one of Korean restaurants in Furumachi, whose name is “Futu no Sonata” meaning “Winter Sonata”. Apparently it is named after the famous Korean TV drama. It is easy for you to get to this restaurant because it is just a 30 meter north of the famous hotel “Italiaken”. For your convenience, I put the latitude and longitude of the restaurant location. Please google them, go there, and eat a lot of Korean Food!

The inside is clean and blight. It is nice atmosphere.

Since I have already eaten Sundup Chige before, this time I tried eating Ika Chige. Ika is a seafood but not fish, you know. It is squid. What you see below are Ika-chigae, Otoushi (the left has already been eaten), rice, and Beer. The soup of the Chigae was hot by red pepper. I liked it very much.

And I left these advertisement packs of paper towel not on the table but I handed them to the lady in the restaurant. While I was eating, two other guests came. It seemed like many foreign people like to come to this Korean restaurant. Hoping that some of those foreign people are interested in my Japanese Lesson. 2019年４軒目でつ。「冬のソナタ」こういうネーミング好きです。いつもスンドゥプでは何なので、別のにしようと思いましたが、コムタンにしたらお肉ばっかりなんだろうなと思い、ふと目に付いた「イカチゲ」にしてみました。辛さ加減が私好みでちょうど良いお味でした。イカリングさんも思ったより入っていて良かったです。お店の人に、旧正月ソルラルは韓国に帰らないのですか、と聞いてみましたが、私のソルラルの発音がSoruraruなので、通じなくて、多分ソウルのことだと思われたでしょう。外国語の発音は難しいものです。宣伝テッシュを受け取っていただき、ありがとうございます。また行きますよ～！

Last night I went to Haerbin Canting (hā ěr bīn cān tīng, 哈尔滨餐厅, Harupin Sancho, Halupin Sancho, Harubin Sanchou, Harbin Restaurant) for my dinner. The restaurant is located in Furumachi. Please google the following latitude and longitude.

It is Furumachi but one or two blocks north of the main street Masayakoji on which the buses run. This red thing welcomes you.

I ordered BBQ pork on steamed rice, 750 yen. Sake was “Kikusui” ichi-go (means 180ml), 320 yen. In total, my dinner was just 1,070 yen. Don’t you think it’s reasonable? Steamed rice is hidden under the BBQed pork. Actually the pork was a little salty, which may not be good for your health but good for “an accompaniment” of Sake. I liked these “a lot of Onion”. Zaasai on the left is also a little salty, I prefer less salty side dishes. But anyway, I should not say any complaint because they are working hard all the night.

When I paid and left, I asked the lady of the restaurant whether or not Harbin is the city that holds the ice festival in this time around. She said yes. I have never been to Harbin, let alone the ice festival. But I just thought I would like to visit and look at the objet d’art made of ice in Harbin someday. And I thought she should be missing her hometown.

昨晩行った、食べ歩き３軒目は中華料理の「ハルピン餐庁古町店 」でした。夜９時頃行ったのですが、他のお客さんはいませんでした。お肉が食べたかったので、焼肉飯￥７５０にしてみました。タマネギたっぷりは悪くないです。お酒は毎回紹興酒だとコストがかかりますので、今回は菊水にしました。一合￥３２０は安いと思います。合計１０７０円。韓国料理より安いのは、確かです。お店の人に、氷祭りがあるのはハルピンですか？と聞いたら、そうだと言いました。きっと、故郷が懐かしいでしょうね。

Anyway, last night I went to Sumire (すみれ) which is a Korean restaurant in Furumachi.  The lady who runs Sumire had worked in “Matsuya” for 15 years. She said now she has got used to her new restaurant, Sumire. Sumire is a Japanese word that means “lily”. The sign board in front of the restaurant says “Old Matsuya” with the new name “Sumire”. The restaurant is located on the following latitude and longitude. Google them! and go eat her Korean food!

This is the second time for me to come to Sumire. Last time I ate Sundup Chige. This time I ate Chidimi with beer. She gave me salty sea weed with sesame oil which you can see upper right in the photo. This restaurant is clean and has nice atmosphere. And you can enjoy talking to her. Recommended.

新年明けまして2回目の食べ歩きは、韓国家庭料理「すみれ」、旧松屋さんにお邪魔しました。特注？で１人前のチヂミを作っていただきました。手間は普通サイズと変わらないでしょうに、ディスカウントしていただき、本当にありがとうございます。韓国海苔はサービスでした。これでは客単価が小さすぎて申し訳ないから、冷麺（ネンミョン？）でも追加で頼もうかとしばらく悩みましたが、いかんせん、胃袋のサイズは１人分で、食べ過ぎはできません。また行きますよ～。

明けましておめでとうございます。2019年最初の食べ歩きは、本町商店街の南側の出口にある中華料理の「騰翔飯店（とうしょうはんてん）」でした。前回の酢豚よりちょっと見た目黒い、黒酢豚定食を食べました。やはりスマホではきれいな写真が撮れないです。騰翔飯店さんには今年もお世話になります。どうぞよろしく。
